Music Programs

The St. John's Adult Choir sings for the 10 a.m. Holy Eucharist and other special services throughout the year. We rehearse Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., and are always happy to welcome new members in the choir. If you are interested in being a part of this ministry of St. John's, please contact the church office at 762-9210.

Our Handbell Choir is an outstanding group which plays several times a year for the 10 a.m. Holy Eucharist as well as for special occasions throughout the year. They have been featured at the Annual Convention for the Albany Diocese as well as programs in our area. We use both Handbells and Choir Chimes with our vast library of music. Commitment is essential for this group as each member is responsible for their part. The bells are indeed a beautiful addition to our worship at St. John's.

St. John's is also blessed with a wonderful Men's Quartet. The members of this group are Tom Bell, George Kline, Steve McGrattan and Raymond Hagen. These men not only sing with the Choir, they give of their time above and beyond that commitment to further enhance not only our worship at St. John's, but they have gone out in the name of St. John's to sing for other churches and organizations.

Our organ is a two manual, 28 rank Southfield Pipe Organ built in 1990. It is maintained by the Carey Organ Company of Troy New York. Many recitals have been given on this organ to the enjoyment of our community. The specifications for this organ are:
